    Mix Coarse Bath
    she’s so itchy! help, please?
I have a 10-month old, 9-lbs chihauhau/pug mix. She’s been wanting us to scratch just above her tail on her back for DAYS now…and it’s such a strong itch that she barks when we stop. She’s walking under kitchen chairs scratching on the legs, and it’s sad to watch. She pants and gets so frustrated! We gave her a bath using the soothing, sensitive formula but it hasn’t helped any. We think she might have some sort of skin rash, since we give her flea treatment. Her black hair is so short and coarse that we can’t part it to see her skin, but when I flip her over and look down at her “female parts” where there’s no hair, and it’s a little red. What can we give her/put on her that will stop her itching? I feel so bad for her!!!

either she has fleas (look for flea dirt- black little comas) or she’s allergic to something. You said that her belly is red- that’s a good sign that she’s about to break out with a skin infection. She needs to go to the vets and get some antibiotic sand some steroids to get over it. Keep track of when she starts to

  • Pick Any Scent

Okay how to make it easier, my dog gets a scent and wants to track it?
Okay first of all my dog has Jack Russell Terrier/ Chihuahua in her (we know that for sure) but we are under a strong belief that she has Beagle in her as well. She makes that hound howl (that only a hound can do) and she has beagle features (by the way my fathers dog is a beagle so I know about them) We also know she has some lab in her.

The thing is I know Terriers and Beagles are hunters but when she picks up a scent she wants to go. Whether it be rabbits or squirles. She is really good with her commands but she is very stubborn (the chi in her) She is really strong and pulls so hard for such a small girl of 22 pounds.

She has been through obedience training but how to calm her when she gets on a scent. I expected this but its happening more and more.

Any advice so I don’t throw out my shoulder trying to hold her back?
also we are always practicing what we learned in class

Wow, if a 22-pound dog can pull so hard because she’s caught a scent, I’d be absolutely doomed if my mastiff had any trace of a prey drive, ha.

Such a primal instinct can be really hard to get around. I believe scent is the most effective way to distract a dog, although I can’t remember for sure. (That is, for example, if the dog is fixated on something, the fastest way to distract them may be to stick something stinky under their nose because they shut out sounds and such much more easily.)
Anyway, so, try to distract her when she catches a scent. Start

  • Bath Salts You

How do you used bath salts?
How how do you use the bath salts My bath salt have no instructions and when using the bath salt, can it be re-used them once when it is used ?

When you apply bath salts to the water, they dissolve in the water leaving the water to be as desired. For example, adding Eucalyptus salts would dissolve in the water and leave it minty and cool. This is especially good for colds.

Therefore, bath salts can only be used once.

Add them as you would add bubbles. Under the flow of running water will help circulate the salts, and adding a bit around the edges to make the water as desired faster. If you need more, you can add it later… just give it time to dissolve. Salts dissolve best with running water at a higher than room temperature. The proper amount is dependent on the user, but about half – one handful is good starting point… that’s what my wife and I usually use.
